5 Learnings from 30 days in a Suburban Office Park

Six months ago I was doing cold-calls and out-side sales from a 2nd and Mission office because the VC backed company I co-founded was working to acquire customers for our SMB hiring platform.
Six months later, I have left the company and taken over an small self-help business and am finishing my last day of working in a suburban office park 20 miles north of San Francisco in Terra Linda, CA.
So in 6 months, I went from trying to figure out how SMB owners thought and acted to becoming an SMB owner myself.
This process has been eye opening for me and I wanted to share my learnings so that future startup people can better understand the daily reality of the millions of SMB owners and employees that will determine whether or not the startup’s offerings/product will be adopted.

Future of Pan Handling

I am attending a Hack-a-Thon / Collaboration Weekend put on by Creative Currency next weekend and wanted to get the ideas flowing.
I am most interested in the theme :
“How can tools like crowdfunding and microcredit be put to work for social service organizations and individuals alike?”
To start I thought about taking that and asking the question :
How to help homeless people get more money?
